Access to and use of any open access sites under the control of CMEPEDIA (this Site(s)) is provided by CMEPEDIA on the following terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions” ):
1. You will be deemed upon registration for your online account to be a CMEPEDIA online account holder (“Online Account User”) rather than as a Content Provider, an employer of a professional body, a CMEPEDIA student, a sponsor, or member of staff of any other type of organization
2. By using this Site, you agree to register as an Online Account User and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which shall take immediate effect when your first use of this Site. If you disagree to be bound by all of the following Terms and Conditions, please do not complete your registration.
3. You must be over the age of 16 to register as an Online Account User.
4. To become an Online Account User, you will need to provide us with your details. We will protect your data as given in our Privacy statement. Please read this before registering: Privacy policy .
5. With this consent to immediate performance of the contract, you acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal from the contract once the download or streaming of the digital content has begun. Your right of withdrawal is limited to a cessation of your premium subscription only. You can not ask for a refund for the purchase of CME modules.
6. If you disable your premium account, we will not automatically delete content that you have submitted to our websites. Your profile page (accessed by clicking on your name when you are logged in) gives a ‘Cancel Registration’ option to disable your account.
7. CMEPEDIA may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time, and we urge you to check these terms regularly. Your continued use of this Site as an Online Account User will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended Terms and Conditions. If at any time you do not agree with the changes in Terms and Conditions, you should cease using this website.
8. CMEPEDIA may withdraw any rights granted to you at any time without necessarily giving you any notice.
9. You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of this Site. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to anyone, transmitting obscene or offensive content, or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue. You may not impersonate another person.

All copyright, trademarks, design rights, patents, and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) and all content on this Site shall remain vested in CMEPEDIA or its licensors (including other users). Unless stated explicitly in a Creative Commons license which may be attached to some CMEPEDIA content - http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/uk (“Creative Commons Licence”) - you may not copy, reproduce, republish, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use CMEPEDIA content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please read the Creative Commons license in full before downloading or otherwise using CMEPEDIA content.
11. You must read these rights subject to any restrictions on use applying to any content or part of them, such as video and photographic images (“Special Restrictions”). Contributions to the CMEPEDIA
14. By sharing any contribution (including any text, photographs, graphics, video, or audio) with CMEPEDIA, you agree to grant to CMEPEDIA, free of charge or by a contractual charge, permission to use the material in any way (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons) for CMEPEDIA services in any media worldwide.
14. Copyright in your contribution will remain with you. This permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material in any way, including allowing others to use it.
15. In order that CMEPEDIA can use your contribution, you confirm that your contribution is your original work, is not defamatory, and does not infringe any third party rights, that you have the right to give CMEPEDIA permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 16 years of age.
16. If you do not want to grant CMEPEDIA the permission set out above on these terms, please do not submit or share your contribution to or with CMEPEDIA.
17. If you use multiple logins to disrupt a community or annoy other users, CMEPEDIA may take action against all of your accounts. All accounts must be registered with a valid personal email address that you regularly access so that CMEPEDIA can send moderation emails to you. Accounts registered with someone else’s email address or temporary email addresses may be closed without notice.
18. You may not submit or share any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in CMEPEDIA communities. This includes text, graphics, video, programs, or audio. Contributing materials to a CMEPEDIA community to commit or promote an illegal act is prohibited.
19. CMEPEDIA cannot guarantee that information contained on or available via this Site will continue to be accurate. You confirm that you have not relied on any such information. Any arrangements made between you and any other person using or named on this Site are entirely at your sole risk and responsibility.
20. Information contained in or accessible via this Site changes regularly. We may make improvements or alterations to this Site at any time and without notice.
