1. Purpose

CMEPEDIA is committed to ensuring equitable access to continuing medical education (CME) content for all healthcare professionals. This policy outlines how learners who require accommodations due to disabilities or functional limitations can receive timely and appropriate support to participate fully in CME activities available on our platform.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all learners accessing CME activities distributed through CMEPEDIA, regardless of the content provider. It currently applies to internet-based enduring materials and will evolve to include additional formats as needed.

3. Definitions

Accommodation: A reasonable adjustment or support provided to a learner to facilitate equal access to CME activities.

Accessible Format: An alternative version of content that allows participation by learners who require specific formats (e.g., readable PDFs, captioned materials).

Disability: Any condition—permanent, temporary, visible, or invisible—that limits an individual’s ability to access learning content without adjustments.

Learner: Any healthcare professional enrolled in or accessing CME content provided by Accrecent.

4. Policy statement

CMEPEDIA is dedicated to reducing barriers to participation in online learning. We ensure that:

All accommodation requests are taken seriously and reviewed on an individual basis.

Confidentiality and privacy are upheld throughout the accommodation process.

We collaborate with content providers to deliver alternative content formats and solutions.
